Good Things Come in Threes
Good Things Come in Threes
We were chuffed to be part of Seeker Brewing’s Collabruary this year, an annual event where Seeker Brewing make a medley of different beers in collaboration with other breweries. We wanted to take the opportunity to create something unique and unusual and we really wanted to work with the Illawarra plums. This lead us to South Coast Distillery, searching for advice on how we could get our hands on these elusive plums. They said that the plums were in high demand and very difficult to source, but were generous enough to offer us the gin infused plums they’d used in the making of their gin. Seeker brewed a brown ale in May 2022, it then made the journey to our warehouse where we transferred the beer onto 120kg of gin infused Illawarra plum from south coast distilling. It then rested for 14 months, allowing the beer to develop and mature in French oak
Moderate acidity married beautifully with gin botanicals. Aromas of cola and plum sit firmly on a malty base, with a dry crisp finish.
A celebration of what can be achieved by combining the trades of three artisan producers. Wildly different skills used to create a polished and enjoyable product.
